Description

The Learning & Development Manager supports the organization’s efforts to build a culture of learning, enhance onboarding experiences, and develop skills gaps closing strategies that align with business priorities. This role also leads the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

As a key member of the Talent & Organizational Development team, the Learning & Development Manager reports into the Head of Talent and Organization Development and works closely with stakeholders, including People & Culture (P&C) Partners, business leaders, and employees, to ensure workforce readiness and continuous development across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development

  • Design, implement, and evaluate scalable learning programs that address organizational goals, including sales and technical skills, leadership development, and soft skills.
  • Lead onboarding programs to provide employees with a positive and engaging start to their journey, ensuring alignment with organizational culture and values.
  • Partner with business leaders to conduct training needs assessments and create customized learning solutions for teams and individuals.
  • Leverage innovative learning technologies and approaches to create engaging, accessible, and measurable training experiences.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth through regular communication, recognition, and program participation.

Onboarding Excellence

  • Manage and continuously improve the employee onboarding experience to enhance retention, engagement, and time-to-productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless onboarding processes, integrating DEI principles and organizational values.

Skills Mapping & Career Development

  • Collaborate with the Head of Talent & Organizational Development to design and implement a skills mapping framework that aligns with business objectives and future workforce needs.
  • Develop resources and tools to support employees and leaders in understanding career paths, skill requirements, and opportunities for development.
  • Contribute to the shift toward a skills-based approach in talent management, enabling employees to explore squiggly career paths and project-based opportunities.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

  • Drive the DEI ambition and work with DEI work groups to develop and implement initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Collect and analyze data to track the effectiveness of talent management and DEI programs and initiatives and use insights to continuously improve and refine strategies.
  • Embed DEI principles into all learning and development initiatives to create inclusive and impactful experiences for employees from diverse backgrounds.
  • Partner with leaders and P&C Partners to deliver training and workshops focused on unconscious bias, inclusive leadership, and allyship.
  • Ensure fair and unbiased hiring and career progress practices.

Employee Engagement

  • Support the Head of Talent & Organizational Development in employee engagement initiatives, including analyzing engagement survey data and contributing to action plans.
  • Promote initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, wellbeing, and connection to organizational values.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, onboarding, or related fields.
  • Experience implementing skills mapping frameworks and supporting career development strategies.
  • Knowledge of DEI principles and proven experience embedding them into learning and onboarding programs.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other digital learning platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
