Main Duties And Responsibilities
Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques.
Clear tables during service.
Control guest cheques and secure proper payment.
Set up stations and tables to ensure they are complete and perform various relevant duties to the function as assigned by the Outlet Manager.
Keep abreast of hotel products and services to answer guest questions and requests.
Answer all guest questions/requests in a friendly and caring manner, take appropriate actions or if needed, refer the matter to the relevant persons to handle.
Ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area are kept clean and organized at all times.
Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu and the ability to recommend Food and beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
To be able to perform any additional scope of duties if requested by the Manager.
To attend the mandatory External and Internal training and follow the company training policy.
Job Specification
Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress
Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system
Excellent presentation skills
Active listening and effective communication skills
Flexibility to work in shifts.
High school diploma; food safety training is a plus.
