Position Summary

Responsible for managing, organizing and facilitating the contract and procurement of Operating Supplies and Equipment (OSE) and standardize specification for high volume items for the Solaire group. This includes research and development, negotiation and sourcing of OSE vendors. Has high level of honesty, integrity and professionalism in all procurement transactions.

Duties And Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Director-Non-F&B, Strategic Sourcing, Research and Development.
  • Source for direct vendors/manufacturers of OSE.
  • Procure materials and services needed in accordance with company quality standards, specifications,

environmental and safety compliance and delivery lead time.

  • Liaise with Operations stakeholders in developing standard specification for Solaire group.
  • Timely facilitating of purchase requisitions, and tender events schedule within the specified turnaround time.
  • Administering the tendering process through procurement system.
  • Build and maintain good rapport with vendors and end user departments.
  • Provide support and assistance in achieving procurement key performance objectives or KPIs.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with long term suppliers’ business partnership, crafting

advantageous agreements that align with Solaire’s quality and service delivery expectations.

  • Negotiation, evaluation, and management of supplier contracts
  • Analyze spend data related to sourcing activities, supplier performance, and market conditions to inform

strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor analysis, and sourcing best practices to provide insights and

recommendations to the Director.

  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, thereby

safeguarding Solaire’s reputation and branding.

  • Stay informed about geopolitical, economic, product seasonality, and industry trends that may impact sourcing

strategies.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing function, optimizing processes and reducing costs.
  • Promote sustainable sourcing practices and evaluate suppliers based on their environmental and social

responsibility.

  • Performs other duties/tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or a

related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing as senior manager or director role

in integrated resorts, casinos, and five-star hotels industry, with at least 3-5 years of project management and

preopening background.

  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and developing strategies specifically cost management.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence without authority.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation

skills.

  • Robust understanding of supplier markets across the globe.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (ariba, check scm, birchstreet, etc), with the ability to incorporate

technology into source to contract process.

  • Extensive skills in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while

meeting multiple deadlines.

  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers and external contacts, and

to work effectively in a professional team environment
