About The Role
The Director, Analytics is a key internal advocate of our Shared Value of STEWARDSHIP. Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Analytics is responsible for specialized financial, accounting, and planning functions in support of critical organizational processes, including budgeting, Asset Liability Management (ALM) modeling, and Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) reporting. The Director will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization’s Business Intelligence platform and ensure robust financial reporting, including developing and maintaining Board-level dashboards and reports. The Director will provide backup support for the CFO and the Controller as needed and play a pivotal role in fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You’ll Do
- Conducts comprehensive financial studies, surveys, and analyses to collect, summarize, and evaluate key financial metrics, assisting in the development of data-driven recommendations for policies, procedures, controls, and actions. Evaluates and analyzes capital expenditure proposals, investment opportunities, profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
- Leads the annual budgeting process, providing guidance to divisional budget owners, allocating resources, and maintaining control over designated budgets. Develop, analyze, and update capital budgeting guidelines, including discount rate determination and acceptable NEV (Net Economic Value) and NII (Net Interest Income) calculations.
- Performs treasury management activities, ensuring investment decisions align with the Credit Union’s ALM policies, strategic priorities, and mission. Develop and maintain product, department, and branch profitability reporting using the ALM/Profitability module, including data extraction, cost allocation methodologies, and variance analyses. Perform quarterly ALM processes, review risk reports, and provide recommendations regarding risk objectives.
- Assist with specialized reporting needs, such as the 5300 Call Report, Raddon Reports, and other regulatory or internal requirements. Update and manage the PROFITstar module, including analyzing internal prepayment speeds and applying updates as necessary.
- Conduct forward-looking analysis for proposed capital budgeting, marketing promotions, and new product or service initiatives. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including liquidity position, cash flow, budget performance, cost control, financial statements, and ALCO reports.
What We’re Seeking
- 5 years of Accounting experience, preferably in a financial institution.
- Requires advanced knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency in financial systems and tools, and the ability to deliver actionable insights through complex financial analyses.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in finance, accounting, or related field is required. May include entry level MBA candidates.
