Afghan Social Organization for Women (ASOW) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political Afghan national organization established and registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2020. ASOW works for the development of Afghan society, especially women and children through providing education services, arranging capacity-building programs, imparting vocational skills training, ensuring food security, and emergency relief assistance in times of natural or man-made calamities. Job Description
Role Summary
The HR Manager is the go-to person for all employee-related issues, responsible for managing activities such as recruitment, job design, employee relations, performance management, training & development, and talent management. This role is crucial for the organization’s success, ensuring a happy and productive workplace that aligns with our mission and objectives. The HR Manager will promote corporate values and shape a positive organizational culture.
Reports to: Executive Director
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy and Development
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall organizational goals.
- Support current and future organizational needs through the development, engagement, and motivation of human capital.
- Develop and monitor HR systems, strategies, and procedures across the organization.
Employee Relations and Talent Management
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain talent.
- Nurture a positive working environment and foster a culture of engagement and productivity.
Performance Management and Training
- Oversee and manage the performance appraisal system to drive high performance.
- Assess training needs, implement training programs, and monitor their effectiveness.
- Support employee development through training and growth opportunities.
Compensation And Compliance
- Maintain the pay plan and benefits program to ensure competitive compensation.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Report to the Executive Director and provide decision support through HR metrics.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role.
Skills And Abilities
- People-oriented and results-driven, with strong leadership skills.
- Experience with HR metrics and HR systems/databases.
- Ability to develop and implement HR strategy effectively.
- Strong active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence in managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
