- OBJECTIVE (POSITION SUMMARY)
Radiant Global Logistics has a fast-paced environment and are looking to expand our staff by adding an Operations Specialist in International operations for our Fort Lauderdale, Florida location. The candidate preferably will have at least 5 years of prior freight forwarding experience. The freight forwarding International Air Operations Agent is responsible for daily operations moving Air shipments, primarily exports, and imports.
- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
- Integral role in operations to assist in moving freight for a wide variety of customers in the US and worldwide.
- Alerting, routing, tracking, and tracing shipments via various internet tools and updating transportation software system.
- Making International bookings, creating AWB’s and follow up with overseas partners until freight delivers.
- Responsible for gathering and entering job costs with accuracy and timeliness for billing.
- Responsible for AES export filings in ACE.
- Handling shipments with a high level of attention to detail and white-glove service requirements and the ability to follow standard operating procedures of the company.
- The ability to recognize possible and existing service failures, issues and shortages and will need to effectively communicate these situations to management or customer service as needed.
- Quoting customers, obtaining best-routing solutions and rates.
- Aggressive approach with carriers/partners to obtain special rates or spot quotes.
- Obtaining vendor charges and auditing for accuracy and legitimacy.
- Assist on-call duties, in rotation with other operations staff.
- QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics or similar field preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, manage risk, and problem solving.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- TSA administration experience
- Cruise Logistics Operations experience a Plus.
- Customer service, client interaction on telephone and email
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and provide input for continuous improvement.
- 5+ years minimum Freight Forwarding specific experience required. Domestic & International experience a plus.
- Superior attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and high level of organization approach to work is essential.
- Preferred computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft 365, and transportation tracking software.
- Work Schedule
- Full time schedule of minimum 8 hours per day with flexibility to complete all required job duties and responsibilities.

- Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to an individual’s education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
