Job Description
The HR Talent Acquisition team is split across two sites, Heidelberg and Hinxton supporting over 2000 staff members across 6 sites. The Head of Talent Acquisition is based in Heidelberg along with three HR Talent Acquisition Partners and one Assistant.
In this role, you will support and work closely with the Talent Acquisition team responsible for the full recruitment process, managing approx. 350 hirings a year. The team provides high quality services and works closely with assigned EMBL units and hiring managers whilst delivering comprehensive recruitment and related HR advice and support in line with internal guidelines and procedures.
2025 is an exciting time for our HR team as we just implemented a new ERP system across EMBL’s 6 sites. Delivering modern HR practices with and increased efficiencies will enable the team to focus on what matters most, our people.
Your role
If you are interested in gaining experience in talent acquisition and are excited by the challenge of providing an excellent service in a stimulating international environment, this role is for you.
Tasks And Responsibilities Include
- Maintenance of job openings in our online recruitment platform
- Preparation of vacancy notices and targeted recruitment messaging incl. social media marketing
- Organising remote and on-site interviews with the possibility of participation in interviews
- Liaising with hiring teams to finalise and confirm interview schedules
- Liaising with candidates through various platforms ensuring a continuous excellent candidate experience
- Supporting travel bookings for candidates including flights and accommodation
- Handling recruitment related e-mail correspondence, e.g. troubleshooting of application submissions, replying to general queries
- Preparation of reports and research into recruitment related topics to support internal projects
- Performing standard administrative tasks related to the recruitment process, e.g. scanning of documents, processing travel claims and invoices
You have
- relevant education and training in the area of HR administration and/or talent acquisition, combined with first working experience in HR
- proactive approach and strong customer orientation to provide a quality service for staff at all levels
- very good analytical and evaluative skills
- ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
- very good organizational and communication skills
- reliability and flexibility
- ability to plan and prioritize your own work programme
- proficiency in MS office applications and Internet is required
- a very good command of English
You might also have
Previous relevant work experience, ideally gained from an international environment is advantageous. A good working knowledge of German, French and/or Spanish or Italian.
