About

About the opportunity

Reporting into the Group Talent and Organisational Development Manager you will play a crucial role in contributing to the success of the McDonald Jones Homes and MOJO Homes construction teams through facilitating onboarding, induction, and technical training for all MJH construction employees. More specifically, you will:

  • Work alongside MJH construction managers, human resources and talent acquisition to ensure that new starters within construction are onboarded and set up for success
  • Partner closely with your key stakeholders to plan relevant, timely and effective induction training
  • Conduct thorough analysis to identify critical skill gaps with our construction and operations teams
  • Manage completion of structured inductions including acknowledgement of policies and procedures
  • Deliver structured, engaging training utilising a blended approach of virtual, online and in person
  • Oversee employees completing the MJH Construction Cadetship, Traineeship and Graduate Programs
  • Mentor and coach construction early career talent to ensure effective career plans are being mapped for their future development to improve retention, engagement and productivity
  • Identify ways to improve our technical training programs and construction team onboarding experiences

About You

You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience delivering technical construction and safety training
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment
  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to positively engage with people at all levels
  • A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
  • A willingness to learn new technology and work with a diverse team
  • Driver’s license
