Job Description

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the accounting system, ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Management:

    • Generate accounts payable aging reports and coordinate payment issuance.

    • Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue collections.

    • Collaborate with external tax accountants for the preparation of financial statements for tax purposes.

  • Quality Control:

    • Generate accounts payable aging reports and coordinate payment issuance.

    • Collaborate with external tax accountants for the preparation of financial statements for tax purposes.

  • Reporting and Documentation

    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports to assist in financial analysis and decision-making.

    • Coordinate and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation for reporting to senior management.

  • Communication and Coordination

    • Analyze legal documents, contracts, and leases in a clear and organized manner, relaying important findings to management for timely resolution.

    • Prepare and invoice tax escalations for multiple commercial and retail tenants.

    • Work closely with team members across the finance department and interact with external tax accountants and auditors.

  • Communicate with vendors and clients for reconciliation and collection purposes.

Requirements

Educational Level/Required Certificates:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
