Job Purpose (Significance Of The Role & Objectives)

We are looking for professionals with a zeal for CAE and a strong focus on Structural crash simulations using CAE tools like Hypermesh, LS PrePost, LS Dyna, ANSA HyperView, Hypergraph, Python, and TCL/TK. In this role, you will be able to plan and execute vehicle-level activities according to plans developed in collaboration with key internal stakeholders and external vendors/suppliers.

Key Responsibilities And Deliverables

  • Proficient in FE discretization of any kind of parts (Plastic, Metals – Brittle/Ductile) from the entire vehicle
  • Proficient in defining connections like Rigids, Beams, Joints, etc.
  • Ability to manage small-scale LS-DYNA models and perform simulations.
  • Experience in preparing models for crashworthiness analysis and validation.
  • Able to model welds like Spots, and Seam welds for automotive structures (like BIW and closures) and test correlations.
  • Knowledge in building FE Model setups for Euro NCAP & GNCAP
  • Knowledge of GNCAP, US & Euro NCAP protocols – not mandatory, but desired
  • Knowledge of Seat belt and safety system simulations – not mandatory, but desired
  • Product knowledge with an understanding of functioning and application is desirable.
  • Good presentation and communication skills

Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in shell meshing and solid meshing
  • BTech /MTech (desirable, but not mandatory) in Mechanical/Automotive or any other relevant Engineering
  • Very good hands-on experience using CAE Tools like Hypermesh, ANSA, LS PrePost, Meta Post, HyperView, Hypergraph, Python, TCL/TK
  • Proficiency in LS-DYNA, Hypermesh, and ANSA is preferred.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Adaptive learner, able to adapt to the situation quickly & need to work with minimum supervision.
  • Able to think and propose new methods of working to reduce the CAE lead time.
