What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Serve as the primary liaison for members and providers regarding eligibility verifications, authorizations, claims, and related inquiries
  • Handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
  • Research and triage customer issues efficiently, identifying priority concerns for escalation
  • Maintain detailed call logs for customer interactions, documenting inquiries and actions taken
  • Anticipate customer needs and establish effective relationships to gain trust and respect

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a customer service environment
  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Ability to remain patient and courteous when dealing with difficult callers
  • Capability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Bilingual (Spanish) or proficiency in another language
  • 2+ years of experience in an HMO/Healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with call center technology and telephony systems
  • Understanding of medical terminology and medical coding
