About The Role

As we continue to grow, we seek an exceptional Desktop Support Engineer to join the Production Support Team. This role involves providing hardware and software related operational support to all functions of Grasshopper and Grasshopper Asset Management, an entity regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The ideal candidate will provide technical support for end-users, maintain and troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and manage user access and permissions within Active Directory.

As Part Of The Infrastructure Team, You Will

  • Respond and provide operational support for both the trading and tech teams (both hardware and software)
  • Troubleshoot, escalate and resolve application issues in accordance with incident management and expected service levels
  • Build/deploy tools to improve our automation and monitor stack
  • Support user creation/deletion for Joiners, Movers & Leavers
  • Document issues, solutions, and maintain an updated knowledge base for common issues
  • Maintain records of hardware inventory and software licenses
  • Support users in troubleshooting application issues, password resets, and access problems.
  • Assist users with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN access, and LAN setups.
  • Set up and configure new desktop/laptop/printer systems, including installing operating systems and necessary software.
  • Install, update, and patch applications as needed.

We’d Love For You To Have

  • Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Knowledge of IT hardware components and troubleshooting.
  • Active Directory user management
  • Networking Administration experience (TCP/IP/Wifi/VPN/DNS/DHCP)
  • Experience with remote desktop tools (e.g., Google Meets, Remote Desktop Protocol).
  • Procurement/vendor management experience
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence for document issues and resolutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service
  • Certifications are a plus:
  • Microsoft Active Directory Certified
  • ITIL Foundation: Best practices for IT service management.
