About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager to lead our Benefit Specialist Team. The Benefit Specialist team plays a pivotal role in our Sales Operations by conducting the education of benefits and products to clients, and enrollments during initial and renewal windows. The ideal candidate will focus on driving enrollment strategies, enhancing operation efficiency, and fostering cross department efforts to improve the enrollment experience for groups. This position will be based in St. George, Utah and will have some opportunity for travel.
What you”ll do
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with Benefit Specialists to develop enrollment strategies tailored to different group needs, maximizing Planstin”s offerings and client satisfaction.
- Develop clear SOPs for key activities like client meetings, plan presentations, agent coordination, and onsite enrollments.
- Analyze enrollment data and trends to identify areas of improvement and new opportunities for growth.
- Set clear KPIs and objectives related to group enrollments and renewals.
- Achieve monthly/annual goals related to enrollment numbers
Cross Department Collaboration
- Act as the liaison between the Benefit Specialists, Benefit Managers, Internal Sales teams, and external sales teams to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent communication.
- Support the overall Sales Operations by providing insights into enrollment trends and client feedback to improve the sales process.
- Ensure processes are designed with the client experience in mind, reducing friction points in communication, plan understanding, and onboarding.
Operational Efficiency
- Monitor the employee’s workload, travel schedules, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency without burnout.
- Develop and improve processes for enrollment presentations, plan preparation, and agent collaboration.
- Coordinate and support the Benefit Specialist’s travel plans, ensuring alignment with business priorities and budget considerations.
Training & Quality Assurance
- Ensure Benefit Specialists are maintaining a deep understanding of Planstin offerings, staying current with product updates and industry changes.
- Monitor calls/enrollment meetings for coaching and feedback/development
- Review enrollment materials, presentations, and strategies to maintain consistency and quality.
- Address escalated issues with groups, agents, or internal teams, providing adequate resolutions to maintain strong relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive performance and foster a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to present to large groups and diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on process improvement and revenue growth.
- Health and Life Insurance licensing is required within the first 60 days in the role. Planstin will cover the cost to obtain this license if needed.
- Willingness to travel as needed for onsite enrollments.
- Proven sales experience or relevant industry experience in medical benefits, health insurance, or employee benefits is a plus!

The Pay Range For This Role Is
70,000 – 80,000 USD per year( )
