A day in the life
The Healthcare Data Analyst (Associate Data Analyst) is responsible for developing analytic solutions to basic issues and problems. This role creates powerful analytics to enable thoughtful and impactful decision making across the organization.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Collects, processes, and cleans large data sets from various sources.
- Aggregates and performs statistical analyses on healthcare data.
- Ensures data integrity and compliance by performing data audit and/or data validation.
- Works directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand their questions, processes, programs and/or initiatives.
- Identifies and builds analytics solutions which inform business operations, programs, and/or initiatives and delivers value for them.
- Draws on tools and methods from statistics and machine learning to perform analysis, leverage predictive models, visualize data, and drive projects through to delivery of the intended outcome.
- Collaborates with internal team members to create reports, models and/or dashboards.
- Communicates the findings, patterns, and insights to stakeholders and provides data-driven forecasts and solutions.
- Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders on reporting questions and concerns.
- Researches, hypothesizes, and develops analytical approaches for identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in large data sets.
- Leverages analytic platforms for statistical/data analysis projects and reporting.
- Coordinates tasks and provides support to assigned projects.
- Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
What You Need To Succeed
- A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Informatics, Analytics, Public Health, or related field.
- 1-3 years of data analytics, statistics, data modeling techniques, knowledge of analytical and intelligence tools or related experience with a strong knowledge of technical systems and data.
- Preferred: 1-3 years of experience using Sequel, Tableau, and Python for consideration of higher-level position.
- Be a problem solver with the ability to research, analyze and define methods, practices, and procedures to resolve issues.
- Pays close attention to the details of all work and strives for a high level of accuracy.
- Displays the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Has the vision to anticipate potential problems and is able to collaborate with others to troubleshoot.
- A strong ability to prioritize and organize work with varying timelines for projects and daily work.
Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards
