The Role

The Business Development Manager for Medical Unlicensed Cannabis Products will lead efforts to identify, secure, and expand business opportunities in the growing medical cannabis market. This role requires a deep understanding of unlicensed medical cannabis regulations, strong relationship-building skills, and a strategic mindset to drive growth in a competitive and evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Development:

  • Manage existing partnerships to maximize value and ensure mutual success.
  • Market Expansion:
  • Drive initiatives to enter new markets, ensuring compliance with European and country-specific regulations.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to support market entry strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to position the company effectively in the marketplace.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all business development activities comply with laws governing unlicensed medical cannabis products.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and legal teams to navigate complex compliance requirements.
  • Revenue Growth:
  • Set and achieve revenue targets for the medical cannabis portfolio.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Business Planning and Reporting:

Ideal Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or cannabis industries.
  • Strong knowledge of the medical cannabis market and European regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record of identifying and closing business opportunities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and adapt to changing market conditions.
