Key Responsibilities

- Conduct outbound calls to facilitate appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and patient outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with a proactive call center team to enhance overall patient engagement.
- Triage patient inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or provider efficiently.
- Leverage knowledge of commercial health insurance and pertinent medical terminology.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance, safeguarding patient information.
Required Skills
- Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service or medical office environment.
- Acquaintance with medical office operations, scheduling, and patient communication protocols.
- Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong multitasking capabilities with adeptness in navigating multiple systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Understanding of various insurance types, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Experience with AthenaHealth systems is preferred but not mandatory.
