  • Conduct outbound calls to facilitate appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and patient outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a proactive call center team to enhance overall patient engagement.
  • Triage patient inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or provider efficiently.
  • Leverage knowledge of commercial health insurance and pertinent medical terminology.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance, safeguarding patient information.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service or medical office environment.
  • Acquaintance with medical office operations, scheduling, and patient communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities with adeptness in navigating multiple systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
  • Understanding of various insurance types, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Experience with AthenaHealth systems is preferred but not mandatory.
