Job Overview
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic professional to join our team as the Lower School Coordinator of Education. This part-time position is tailored for individuals who thrive in an educational setting and seek a flexible work arrangement. The primary focus of this role is to oversee and enhance daily classroom instruction for Pre-K through 6th grade, offering support and coaching to our educational staff while promoting the social and emotional growth of our Lower School students.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Classroom Instruction: Regularly monitor online gradebooks for tutors (1st – 6th grades) to ensure academic performance is consistently tracked and maintained.
- Support Student Behavior and Development: Conduct visits to engage with Lower School students (N-6th grade), fostering character building and encouraging positive behavior.
- Manage Attendance: Collect and accurately record student attendance as required, ensuring up-to-date documentation.
- Guide Classroom Management: Provide strategic advice to Pre-K4 and Kindergarten teachers regarding best practices in classroom management.
- Facilitate Teacher Support: Conduct bi-weekly check-in meetings (30 minutes each) with Lower School educators to offer continuous coaching, feedback, and assistance, conducted remotely.
- Assist with Event Coordination: Play a role in organizing and managing Lower School events such as All Saints Day, Thanksgiving Feast, and Advent Play.
- Engage with Admissions and Families: Support Admissions activities, including tours and interviews, to welcome new families into our community.
- Provide Substitute Leadership: Step in for the Center Administrator during absences or emergencies to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications
- A demonstrated and active commitment to the Catholic faith is required, including the ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
- This role will necessitate attendance on Mondays and Thursdays at the local center (nursery services provided), as well as remote work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with occasional Fridays as needed.
- Participation in a week-long training in July and three days of local training in August is mandatory, with some travel expected.
- Familiarity with educational environments is preferred, although a strong desire to teach and mentor is vital.
