Position Overview
As an Outreach Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in educating communities and potential referral sources about our unique services, fostering relationships that enable us to stand out as the optimal choice for individuals confronting substance abuse and mental health issues. Your efforts in outreach and collaboration will directly affect our community’s health and recovery landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate local communities and potential referral partners about our specialized services.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, therapists, attorneys, probation officers, and other treatment programs for substance use disorders (SUD).
- Attend outreach events, conferences, and networking meetings to enhance our brand visibility.
- Conduct in-service training and provide education on addiction for potential referral sources.
- Facilitate crisis interventions for individuals and families when necessary.
- Collaborate with our admissions team and executive clinical directors while reporting to the National Director of Community Outreach and Clinical Partnerships to support steady admissions.
- Document daily activities and interactions using Salesforce.
Required Skills
- Prior experience in the substance abuse sector, with a preference for direct outreach roles; admissions, clinical, or medical background is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- A genuine, trustworthy demeanor conducive to building relationships.
- Proficient in maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Effective time management abilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Marketing is preferred.
- A valid and current state-issued driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
