Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging online instruction to students possessing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Create, implement, and uphold individualized IEPs to ensure that educational objectives are met.
• Regularly evaluate and track students’ progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate proactively with onsite personnel, faculty, and other professionals to meet student needs effectively.
• Facilitate virtual IEP meetings with families and stakeholders, fostering an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to assess and monitor student progress efficiently.
• Experience with online teaching platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Technical proficiency with a computer, camera, and microphone.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or a relevant field is required; a Master’s Degree in Education is preferred.
• Possession of Ohio State Certification for Special Education is mandatory.
• Prior experience as a Special Education teacher is essential; remote teaching experience is highly desirable.

Compensation And Benefits

• Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
• Work Hours: Full-time (35-40 hours per week), which includes indirect hours
• Platform: Zoom Plus (HIPAA/FERPA Compliant)
• Hourly Rate: \(28 – \)35 per hour, dependent on experience
• Start Date: Immediate, with opportunities available through the end of the current school year and potentially into the 2025-2026 school year
• School Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM (local time)
