Responsible for Delivery management of Polymer, Soft and Rubber Trims to meet Cost, Quality and Delivery targets for upcoming EV programs
Job Responsibility
- Drive development and delivery of key EV trims like of Plastic injection moulds development, Interior & Exterior plastic Trims assembly development, including painted parts. (Carpets, Door seals, seats, IP, Headliners, Bumpers, Spoilers, Small Plastic & Rubber parts).
- Drive Quality maturation for step through improvements in Quality, Build and Craftsmanship
- Drive deeper localization till Tier 3 to meet Auto PLI & FAME compliance and develop local supplier capability for Engg. Support, RCA & improved Serviceability
- Monitor & improve supplier parts PPM /Vendor Parts Quality through Supplier site process & Product audits
- Perform gap analysis (Present design/ concept compared to Global Benchmarks on key performance parameters of aesthetics & Craftsmanship), prepare action plan for Technology upgradation aligned with EV programs. Provide technical solutions as and when required to enhance product performance throughout the product/platform life cycle
- De-risking Supply chain- Alternate Sourcing / De Bottlenecking/ Capacity Management/ Trims with Sustainable raw material grades
- Conduct Manufacturing Site assessments of trim suppliers and expedite ECN implementations. Setting up In-house and Supplier Quality systems and processes ,Carry out APQP, PPAP / Phase-wise PPAP / Run @ Rate
- Establish CTQ parameters and monitor adherence
- Establish Production Capacity at Supplier’s end as well as Tier 2, Tier 3 as per requirement Drive cost efficiencies through VA VE implementation for Vehicle systems

Desired Candidate Profile
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing process, Sound understanding of part development of interior & exterior plastic trim parts as carpets, Door seals, seats, IP, Headliners, Bumpers, Glasses, sealers, Plastic & Rubber parts etc.
- Solid Knowledge of Tool designing and maturation, mould flow and Polymer properties for interior/ exterior trim parts and Rubber Profiles
- Having sound knowledge of the various manufacturing and development process as injection moulding, extrusion, plating, painting, Welding of interior and exterior trim parts . Sound Knowledge of Supplier Audits & Supplier Performance Monitoring required to meet high level of Quality Standards
- Know how on developing Trims with Sustainable raw material grades
- Updated on latest Tooling & light weighting technologies & Systems to meet the “First Time Right Products”
- Updated on Quality systems for EV specific trims, EV Value chain, Engineering development, Project management and ECN management
