Job Description

  • Guiding supplier management and driving the end-to-end procurement and supplier management framework
  • Driving continuous improvement and evolution of all procurement supplier engagement
  • Negotiating and agreeing contracts on behalf of the firm, ensuring that they are procured within acceptable commercial terms and conditions
  • Acting as key point of contact on Procurement activity for the firm and managing relationships with outsourced service providers to ensure they are meeting, and where possible exceeding, business requirements through structure review meetings with the suppliers and relevant internal staff
  • Producing accurate financial analysis of procurement activity reflecting total lifetime cost and ROI where applicable.
  • Guiding a team of procurement professionals providing appropriate support, development and training
  • Managing the contract and legal review process ensuring the firms position and values are incorporated into any agreement

The Successful Applicant

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Procurement, Business Management, or related discipline)
  • Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience
  • CIPS certification or equivalent (preferred)

Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Experience in Procurement and managing accounts/categories, ideally typical to a shared service center
  • Expertise in financial management, covering areas such as budget control, forecasting, auditing spends, and the application of cost management strategies
  • Proficient in supplier management, with a focus on establishing and managing end-to-end procurement and supplier frameworks
  • Ability to generate precise financial reports that assess total lifetime costs and ROI
  • Experience with supplier on-boarding and financial spend analysis
  • Skilled in category management, managing RFP/RFQ processes, and implementing governance frameworks for indirect procurement
