We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimize our seed production processes. The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of seed production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and timely delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of agricultural practices, seed production techniques, and management principles.

Responsibilities

• Production Planning and Execution: Develop and implement annual production plans, considering market demand, seed availability, and resource allocation. Oversee the entire production cycle from planting to harvesting, processing, and packaging.
• Quality Control: Establish and enforce quality control measures at every stage of production to ensure the highest quality of seed. Monitor seed health, purity, and germination rates.
• Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and raw materials. Optimize resource utilization to minimize costs and maximize productivity.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase yields. Implement best practices in seed production and stay updated on the latest technologies.
• Team Management: Supervise and motivate production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. 1
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Inventory Management: Manage seed inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock for sales while minimizing storage costs. Conduct regular stock audits and maintain accurate records.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on production performance, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Analyze production data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and research, to ensure alignment and achieve company objectives.

Qualifications

• Education: BSc in Agriculture or related field.

Additional Information

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years, maximum 5-6 years of experience in seed production or a related agricultural field.
