Description
The Recruiting and Development Generalist assists in creating engaging and meaningful communication plans and programs that cultivate a diverse and inclusive workplace. Responsible for supporting recruitment efforts from posting to sourcing candidates, resume and phone screening, coordination of interviews and onboarding to ensure candidates a positive introduction to the Excite Credit Union culture. The Recruiting and Development Generalist further contributes to the ongoing training, development, and growth for team members and building the team member experience which aligns with Excite’s business strategy and priorities. Key Performance Expectations:
- Coordinates all aspects of recruitment, from developing announcements and screening talent to onboarding new hires, always looking to further improve the candidate experience
- Leads the team member onboarding process including producing offer letters, engaging new hires throughout the background check process, preparing them for their first day, and overseeing their experience in the first three months of their journey with Excite Credit Union
- Promotes a positive team member experience through on-boarding, orientation, employee engagement and development activities and the use of technology
- Coordinate and partner with Training Development Specialist to schedule, and provide various training programs including, but not limited to: new team member training, Member service standards training, systems training, policies and procedures training, for North Carolina Team Members and acts as a backup for the Training Development Specialist for California team members.
- Backup and support Sr. People Generalist with payroll, system administration, and reporting as needed.
- Identifies and implements opportunities to improve team member experience. Assists with assessment of current programs and recommends innovative ways to improve existing ones
- Assists with the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and processes for retention of diverse talent. May coordinate various recruitment events such as job fairs and open houses
- May assist in maintaining immigration and visa documentation
- Utilize data and stay abreast of economic impacts in order to appropriately manage and execute exceptional retention strategies
- Works with leaders to ensure job descriptions are current and up to date as well as partner with the Training Development Specialist to identify training requirements and design development opportunities to enable all team members to grow in their roles and careers.
- Provides support to the People Experience team with all team member events including participation in the team member event and wellness committees
- Assists with administering and revising HR policies and programs based on a solid understanding of employment standards and laws

Requirements
Required Experience and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of recruiting and training experience
- 3-5 Years previous experience performing administrative and customer service related position
- Demonstrated ability to be financially responsible.
Desired Experience And Education
- Experience with Paylocity Payroll, ATS, HRIS
- HR certification from HRCI, SHRM or other accredited organization
- 5 or more years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Credit Union and/or similar not for profit experience
- Bilingual a plus

While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms and stand for long periods of time. The employee is required to occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Performs job duties inside of the typical office setting with minimum time in an outside office environment. Team Member will be exposed to moderate stress levels associated with the performance of the job duties described above. There may be extended periods of computer and telephone use while performing job duties. Employee will be intermittently seated, standing and/or walking during the course of a normal business day. While every precaution is taken to avoid exposing employees to dangers in the workplace, working in a financial institution may expose employees to certain hazards in the event of criminal activity including robbery and/or attempted robbery.
