Job Description
Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring seamless coordination among departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, and Maintenance. Implement and uphold standard operating procedures to maintain high service quality and operational efficiency.
Develop and manage budgets to achieve financial objectives. Monitor revenue streams, control expenses, and implement strategies to enhance profitability. Analyse financial reports to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by maintaining service quality standards and promptly addressing guest feedback and concerns. Foster a guest-centric culture among staff to enhance the overall guest experience.
Lead recruitment, training, and development initiatives to build a competent and motivated team. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement professional development programs to promote staff growth and retention.
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to develop and execute strategies aimed at maximising occupancy and revenue. Enhance the hotel’s market presence through targeted marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships.
Ensure all hotel operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards. Maintain necessary licenses and permits, and stay updated on industry best practices and legislative changes.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years in hotel management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within upscale or luxury properties. Proven track record of successfully managing hotel operations and achieving financial targets.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
Excellent financial acumen and strategic planning abilities. Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Mature and resilient, have strong analytically skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, and good commercial sense.
Enterprising self-starter and results-oriented.
High level of professional integrity.
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
