We are looking for an energetic, creative and highly motivated individual to join the Corporate Affairs (External Relations) Department, in support of the Company’s initiative of engaging and connecting with the community key stakeholders. Reporting to the Regional Relations Manager, the appointee will be responsible for implementing a range of programmes and initiatives outlined below.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement community events to build strong relationships with key stakeholders including individuals, community leaders and organisations
  • Support the department to deliver the company’s vision and business policies within the local community
  • Work closely with community leaders and government departments on major projects that provide reliable electricity supply and make positive contribution to the community
  • Establish internal liaison networks to enable effective communication and coordination in our day-to-day operation
  • Take the lead to handle local supply issues, maintain a proactive dialogue with relevant stakeholders, respond to inquiries from community members?swiftly, and provide onsite caring support, if needed
  • Represent the company to attend meetings to listen to stakeholders’ views, cater for and satisfy their needs
  • Support to formulate engagement plans for responsible districts

Requirements:

  • A recognized university degree; preferably in Social Sciences, Engineering, Journalism or Communications disciplines
  • At least 5 years of experience in community relations / engineering / account management or related disciplines
  • Solid knowledge and experience in community relations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Good team player
  • Outstanding presentation, communication, interpersonal skills with strong professional commitment
  • Strong analytic, planning, organisation and problem-solving skills, and ability to perform multi-tasking
  • Capability in implementation of community events or programmes
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure at irregular hours and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent language command in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as lower position
