Role: Accountant

Salary Range: AUD 70,000.00 – AUD 75,000.00

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant (Level II) to join our dynamic team based in Scoresby, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, debt management, and collaborating across departments to ensure financial accuracy and success. You will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team, working towards WEG Australia’s continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Perform month-end closing tasks, reconcile accounts, prepare sales performance reports, and analyse corporate card expenses.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budgeting, forecasting cash inflows, and preparing financial projections.
  • Debt Management & Collections: Manage collections and debt, perform customer calls, and assess bad debt provisions.
  • Data Maintenance & Coordination: Oversee master data, coordinate the issuance of bank guarantees, and maintain customer accounts.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with internal teams and departments to support financial planning and conduct monthly reviews of customer performance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: An accounting-related degree (or equivalent postgraduate studies)
  • Experience: Strong experience in financial analysis and reporting, including expertise with SAP B1 and Oracle accounting systems. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and complex formulas. A deep understanding of federal and state financial regulations. Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Skills: Exceptional time management and organisational abilities. Strong customer service and communication skills. Problem-solving capabilities and cultural awareness in a diverse team environment.

Advantageous

  • Certification as a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) would be a plus.
