Job Description
The Revenue Analyst provides support to the Director of Revenue Strategy, building business analyses and maintaining data cleanliness to facilitate strategic decision-making and achievement of the hotels’ top-line revenue objectives. In addition, this position’s responsibilities will include executing revenue strategies by maintaining and validating data, building rates and offers across all connected systems, producing reports, and conducting audits for revenue related areas. The Revenue Analyst provides reports and available information to the leadership team to assist in creating detailed forecasts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
This position works closely with management and ensures all distribution channels (Direct sales, GDS, internet, OTAs) are fully optimized without any conflict in distribution, representation, and positioning. This position also performs research and market intelligence through close monitoring of competitor performance, strategies, and pricing structures. This position will support the Area Director of Revenue Strategy with the following locations; Magnolia Denver, Magnolia Houston, Magnolia St. Louis and Magnolia Omaha.
Responsibilities
- Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, monthly revenue reports. The reports include market segmentation analysis, production reports, rate audits, pace reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, revenue penetration index, KPI’s, etc.
- Support hotel’s yield efforts as directed by Revenue leaders, including updating rates and length of stay restrictions in RMS, PMS and OTAs.
- Build new reports, as needed, to assist in preparation for the revenue management meetings or data analysis.
- Perform audits and maintenance on all systems such as PMS, CRS, RMS, BI Systems to ensure content and information is correct.
- Prepare 14 Day Forecasts and distribute to management team to support adequate staffing levels.
- Support Revenue leaders through set-up of reports and systems in their preparation of short-term and long-term forecasts.
- Build rate plans, manage accuracy of rate details in all systems and confirmation emails, and communicate updates to Reservations, Front Office, and Marketing teams.
- Attend meetings as representative of revenue team, keeping & distributing minutes.
- Assist in analyzing reports such as, STR, CBRE, Travelclick, and other measurement tools and present revenue opportunities and aid in effectively pricing rooms.
- Performs competitive pricing checks, including packages, promotions and group blocks.
- Monitor and analyze the competition daily and weekly through OTA Insight, Demand360 and STR reports to identify selling strategies and market trends. Alert Revenue leaders to emerging trends.
- Verify rate parity is maintained across all distribution platforms and channels.
- Assist in the implementation of all blackout dates and/or restricted dates and review frequently to determine if adjustments are needed
- Participate in group evaluation process to guide group inventory and rates based on key factors such as rooms/space ratio, pattern, ancillary contribution, etc. for the group sales team to utilize for a minimum period of twelve-eighteen months at all times.
- Perform Marriott group test shops weekly, and implement correct short term pricing strategies into the system
- Analyze past and present trends and makes recommendations for future strategies

Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with revenue related function in absence of revenue leaders, as needed
- Understand the property’s defined competitive market and defined comp sets and their relevance to each hotel/resort based on current/future market conditions and industry changes and fluctuations.
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Develop and maintain a positive rapport with all internal associates/managers
- Special Projects as assigned
- Provide additional support for Outbound properties
Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of key sales and revenue systems (CI/TY, OneYield, HPP, MarRFP, Marsha, LightSpeed, SynXis Booking Engine, Amadeus, Ideas G3, HMS, and other revenue management/sales related systems)
- Certified in OneYield, CI/TY
- Demonstrated ability to balance the management of all duties in a shared services environment (3+ properties at a time)
- Proven analytical and conceptual skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills
- Demonstrated exceptional problem solving and process improvement skills
- Is proactive, a self-starter, who can work well both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to simplify complex data into metrics and recommendations that are easily understood and actionable
- Minimum of 3 years experience in multi-property operations, sales, or revenue division of hospitality preferred

Annual Salary:$56,485 – $60,000
