4th Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist the Chief, Second and Third Engineers in providing technical support, domestic and industrial services to all areas of the MODU. Exercise effective control and efficient operation of the MODU power plant and machinery with attention to the safety of the crew, protection of the environment and safety of the MODU.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety of crew, environment and engine room as well as personal safety
• Attends and participates in all pre-tour, post tour and weekly safety meeting
• Responsible for the watch in the Engine Control Room. Assure the proper power distribution on MODU
• Maintains the mechanical equipment when required
• Responsible for bunkering, transferring fuel, water and other fluids safely and efficiently
• Maintains the order, cleanliness and housekeeping at mechanical sites
• Identifies opportunities to improve operational procedures and assist with procedure revisions and risk assessments.

Qualifications / Experience

• High School Diploma is required. Graduation from a Maritime Academy is preferred, Marine License is required.
• Drilling Industry experience is preferred.
• Completion of all training and certification requirements for position as described in the training matrix.
