Assistant Commissioner

We are seeking a human resource (HR) professional with a record of achievement in the design and delivery of contemporary HR services for large and complex organisations, to join the ATO People Executive.

As an Assistant Commissioner, ATO People, you’ll operate with integrity to lead and support your teams. You’ll provide strategic HR advice that maintains a focus on the needs of the business and business partners. You’ll collaborate and oversee different business area functions and your ATO People colleagues to shape services and solutions in line with the evolving needs of the organisation and drive excellent customer service to deliver organisational outcomes.

As a member of the senior executive, we are looking for you to contribute to the broader senior leadership team within ATO People. You will help ensure we attract, develop, mobilise, and retain talented and capable employees, now and into the future.

This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD or Sydney CBD. A merit pool may be formed and used to fill future similar vacancies in these locations and other locations within the same metropolitan area.
