Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to be a part of our growing team as our Human Resources and Health & Safety Manager. Working onsite alongside a very dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable team, you will support our senior management team in all forms of HR Practices, H&S, wellness and sustainability of our people.Â
In addition to end-to-end recruitment, training, development, reporting and organising company events, a key part of this position is the management of our packhouse seasonal staff. During our busy harvest season, you will ensure your team is recruited, trained and rostered.Â
This role requires someone who is versatile, organised, systematic, reliable and a team player. The responsibilities of the role are split 50/50 between HR and Health & Safety.

The successful applicant will manage the following:
Human Resources:
- Ensuring excellent employment relations are achieved through creating positive working relationships with all team members and leading performance, disciplinary and change processes
- To develop and deliver a range of HR services including annual reviews across the business to help the company achieve its objectives surrounding people, performance and culture.Â
- Maintaining high levels of organisation for the HR function to support the senior management and team leaders.
- Conducting end-to-end recruitment processes (advertisement, inductions, onboarding, training and management of training records).Â
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with the different teams and actively looking at ways to support team objectives and targets.Â
- Maintain knowledge of relevant and up-to-date industry information and current legislation
- Recruit and manage our seasonal packhouse staff ensuring they are well supported in their positions with minimal absentee rates
Â
Health & Safety:
- True ownership of Health and Safety within our organisation – actively promoting H&S culture within the company including leading our health and safety committee
- Managing the H&S systems and overseeing the administration of the online H&S system
- Reporting incidents/accidents and investigations to management
- Maintaining relevant policies, training and competency documentation
- Actively involved in H&S incident investigations
- Maintain knowledge of relevant and up-to-date industry information and current legislation

The successful applicant will require:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources with 1 to 2 years of experience
- A relevant qualification in Health and Safety or equivalent experienceÂ
- Proficiency in computer literacy
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work alone if requiredÂ
- An attention to detail while being proactive and having initiative
- Good time management to finish tasks in a timely manner
- A valid full New Zealand driver’s license
