We are seeking the ideal candidate for our Claims Administrative Associate opening for our company located in Bedford Park, just a mile south of Midway Airport!

The Claims Administrative Associate will assist the Claims Department in various administrative functions. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask a variety of challenges and responsibilities. Experience with insurance is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform general office duties, such as mailing, scanning/indexing, data entry.
  • Provide clerical support to claims management/adjusters.
  • Pull and distribute voicemails.
  • Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
  • Serve as a back-up, when needed, to reception and other various clerical roles.
  • Compile and prepare weekly and monthly reports/audits.
  • Manage, update and prepare excel spreadsheets.
  • Manage and organize multiple email boxes.
  • Generate and maintain business relationships with vendors, agencies and other professional contacts.
  • Ensure timely resolution of any issue or project is deliverable by working with all levels of management and staff.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Strong time management, sound judgment, good prioritizing, team player skills.
  • Good PC skills (proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Excellent phone communication skills
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good typing/data entry skills (min. 30 wpm)

Preferred

  • Some college courses.
  • Some insurance experience.
  • Prior customer service experience

Estimated Compensation Range: $15/hr – $22.50/hr*

  • Published ranges are estimates. Offered compensation will be based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location of the position.
