Internal Control Manager

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Salary: 1,000,000 – 2,000,000 (monthly gross)

Reporting Line: CEO/MD

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Internal Control Manager to join our client team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining internal control systems to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement internal control policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

2. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

3. Develop and maintain internal control documentation, including process narratives, flowcharts, and control matrices.

4. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures.

5. Identify and report control weaknesses, deficiencies, and non-compliance to the CEO/MD.

6. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.

7. Provide training and guidance to employees on internal control policies and procedures.

8. Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2. Minimum 8 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or internal control.

3. Professional certification (e.g. ACCA,ICAN, CMA) is an added advantage.

4. Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks 5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
