Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000

As Our Director Of Development, You Will
- Along with VP of Philanthropy, develop and execute annual fundraising plan and strategy for a large, sustained base of annual individual donors and Corporate Donors
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with donors. Engage in positive relationships, with timely follow
- Track and manage prospect(s) and other donor activities using Donor Perfect database and associated reporting tools for tracking and goal setting.
- Develop and execute a plan and strategy for a large, sustained formal giving society (1956 Society)
- Create quarterly (minimum) special events that recruit new members and engage existing members.
- Meet/exceed budget revenue goals for signature events (Miss Arc Broward Pageant and InspHired Luncheon)
- Represent the organization at functions and activities and be available for meetings which may take place during evenings and weekends.
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities for prospective and existing corporate partners.
Requirements/ Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with expertise in donor relations, event planning, and strategic development.
- Valid FL driver’s license and successful Level II background check, physical and drug screen
Other Qualifications
- Development/Fundraising: Proven success in development for a large nonprofit. Experience fundraising from multiple donor channels
- Project Leadership: Experience in planning, leading, and managing development projects, including coordinating with peers to achieve desired outcomes, and tracking and reporting on progress
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Take initiative and actively seek to deepen current donor relationships and to forge new ones.
- Communications: Skilled in creating powerful, compelling written and oral communications for fundraising. Ability to convey complex ideas through brief, simple materials. Experience and credibility when presenting materials to external audiences.
- Influencing: Get others to accept ideas by using convincing arguments, create a win-win situation and respond appropriately to key stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Effective at working with others to reach common goals and objectives
- Relationship Building: Skilled at establishing and cultivating strong relationships with peers, across different levels of the organization and externally
- Work habits/skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, meticulous attention to detail and follow-up. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, donor management systems (Donor Perfect preferred), and other online fundraising tools. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
