JOB SUMMARY
The Data Technician will execute technically complex surveying and mapping assignments. The Data Technician will also review field survey data and documents to assess technical accuracy and compliance with Topographic Standards.
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS
Employees, Managers, and Supervisors throughout the corporation.
MAJOR TASKS
- Interact professionally with internal personnel.
- Convert all applicable data into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy and neatness.
- Communicate between PM and Field Crew to ensure work is complete and meets quality expectations.
- Communicate with other employees regarding project schedules.
- Basic understanding in CAD Software, Data Processing, File Maintenance Management and the ability to adapt to other software applications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Skill Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of mathematics used in field survey analysis.
- Understanding and ability to apply methods and standards of technical report writing and computer-assisted surveying applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret field notes and sketches.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to draft reports and letters.
- Basic understanding of survey procedures and survey field data collection methods.

STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE
Topographic OM, Inc. in office Standard business hours is Monday-Friday from 6am-7pm. The specific schedule for this role will be based on location and department.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
TRAVEL
Travel to worksites may be required.
