Job Description
Position Summary
Clinical Documentation Specialist is responsible for ensuring that official standards of healthcare recording and documentation are upheld. This position will work collaboratively with all departments in the organization to ensure that clinical documentation is accurate, coding utilization is appropriate, and the quality of the health records is up to practice standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or higher in education, training and development, instructional design or other related field preferred.
Experience
- Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: Nursing, Medical or Dental Assisting with a strong EMR background.
- Strong phlebotomy and immunization skills.
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
