Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing company in the retail industry, specialising in e-commerce. They have gone through significant growth and are now looking to support this growth with a newly created Finance Manager position.
Your new role
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position will manage a team of four finance professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in the retail sector, with a strong preference for those with e-commerce experience. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Responsible for all international sales matters including tax, consolidation and management of accounts and dealing with advisors.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide strategic financial advice and support to the CFO and senior management team.
- Manage and mentor a team of four finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Support the implementation of financial systems and software.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CA or CPA required.
- Experience in a finance management role within the retail industry, with a strong preference for e-commerce experience.
- Experience with IFRS, dealing with overseas Tax and advisors.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is essential.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency using Xero and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using Shopify would be advantageous.
