Job Description
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Greet persons entering organization and assist visitors
- Maintains and keeps tidy the reception area.
- Ensure the front entrance is unlocked for business hours.
- Assists visitors/clients, supply and receive documents, facilitate scheduling appointments.
- Assist various departments with bulk mailings and the proper use of office equipment.
- Accepts payments and all relevant documents, i.e. Tribal rent, daycare, insurance, FSA.
- Maintain Vendor permits etc.
- Receive sort and distribute mail. Deliver outgoing mail and packages to the post office when needed. Accept and route deliveries.
- Must maintain at all-time strict confidentiality of Tribal members, employees, and visitor/client information.
- Answers and routes all calls coming into the Administration phone system.
- Takes accurate and complete messages as needed.
- Completes office supply and breakroom ordering and inventory.
- Maintain and keep up to date the “public posts” board.
- Mentor and train interns.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Ability to operate general office equipment including postage meter and photocopiers.

Work Environment

- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication.
- Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
- Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
- Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required or be willing to obtain one within a two year period.
- Some computer skills and preferably MS Office.
- Dependable
- Must adhere to the Stillaguamish policies and procedures set out by the tribe
- Current Washington State Driver’s License and ability to be approved by the Tribal insurance to drive Tribal vehicles.
- Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians is a drug free workplace. All employees are subject to a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
Travel Requirements
Local travel is required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required. Typical travel time is generally less than one hour a day
Full Time 40 hours/week
Wage range: $24.71 per hour
