We are seeking a proactive and dedicated English Language Learner (ELL) Coordinator to join our remote team. In this pivotal role, you will enhance the educational journey of English Language Learners by ensuring they receive comprehensive support and high-quality instruction. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to a team of ELL educators, acting as their primary source of guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with ELL teachers to develop and manage individualized student schedules.
  • Engage with school leadership to assess and refine ELL processes, ensuring alignment with educational best practices.
  • Coordinate with the Testing Coordinator for language proficiency assessments and screenings.
  • Guarantee compliance with state ELL regulations while maintaining precise records for all participants in the ELL program.
  • Monitor and report data related to ELL students for state compliance and internal review.
  • Identify and address departmental needs concerning staffing, curriculum, and additional resources.
  • Facilitate professional development sessions to enhance staff knowledge and instructional approaches for ELL learners.
  • Travel as required to assist with in-person state testing and educational events.
  • Address escalations and inquiries from parents and staff regarding ELL concerns through effective communication channels.

Required Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of state education standards and the Common Core framework.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in teacher coaching to enhance instructional methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • ENL certification/endorsement along with a valid Indiana teaching license.
  • At least five years of successful teaching experience; supervisory experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
