Job Overview

We are in search of a seasoned and proactive Vice President of Silicon Operations to spearhead the supply chain management for our silicon product lines, which encompass both Endpoint and Reader ICs. This pivotal role will be responsible for managing the entire production lifecycle, from wafer procurement and post-processing through to finished goods, warehousing, and distribution. You will play a critical role in maintaining product quality, optimizing quantity, and managing costs, all while ensuring operational excellence as our operations expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume full ownership of the supply chain for all silicon products.
  • Formulate and implement a rolling 5-year supply chain strategy.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Management teams to accurately forecast demand over short, medium, and long-term horizons.
  • Align wafer supply strategies with overarching supply and financial objectives.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with contract manufacturers to transform wafers into finished products.
  • Guarantee adherence to exceptional quality standards, customer service expectations, and social responsibility commitments while meeting financial and operational goals.
  • Direct sourcing strategies and manage contracts, negotiations, and partnerships with raw material suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers worldwide.
  • Supervise manufacturing and logistics operations to ensure seamless and efficient processes.
  • Continuously enhance key performance indicators related to the supply chain.
  • Manage both capital and operational budgets necessary for supply chain success.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team to support our accelerating growth.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in supply chain management, with a minimum of 5-7 years in leadership roles within international organizations.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 standards or experience in regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier management, cost reduction strategies, on-time delivery, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Proficient in negotiating large-scale, multi-year contracts with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with an emphasis on scaling teams and processes to accommodate increasing demand.

  • Competitive base salary range of \(190,000 – \)305,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
