Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design engaging instructional materials for online, hybrid, and in-person healthcare courses.
  • Assess the effectiveness of programs and courses, providing actionable insights for improvements based on analysis.
  • Create courses utilizing the institution’s designated Learning Management System (LMS), including crafting course overviews, syllabi, learning outcomes, and interactive activities.
  • Manage eLearning content to ensure it meets high-quality standards and is published efficiently.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to implement course designs, attending curriculum committee meetings to facilitate curriculum updates.
  • Encourage effective instructional strategies in online course design and support in selecting suitable course materials.
  • Supervise the course development process from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while maintaining open communication with leadership.
  • Integrate new technologies and educational tools, testing features that enhance course delivery.
  • Remain up-to-date on trends in online instruction, including compliance with copyright and accessibility regulations.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in instructional design and technology.
  • Proficiency in multimedia authoring tools and course development software.
  • Expertise in drafting clear, effective instructional materials, including written content, audio, and video scripts.
  • Familiarity with instructional design models, learning theories, and curriculum planning.
  • Proven ability in project management with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience with Canvas Learning Management System and knowledge of relevant online learning regulations.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree or certification in instructional design, instructional technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and delivering educational courses within higher education.
