Job Description
- Organizing and allocating manpower and equipment to enable expediting of orders as per priorities, plan warehouse space as per business requirements, supervise picking, packing and put-away operations, allocate resources for optimum utilization and suggest and implement processes to improve warehouse effectiveness.
- Assigning bin locations effectively and check whether storage is done as per instruction so as to enable quick and timely retrieval thereby resulting in efficient picking operations for outbound shipments.
- Ensuring that all manual put-away and picking lists are rechecked for right quantities, dimensions and products.
- Supervising packing processes for outbound shipments for compliance to country and customer specifications and that necessary certifications and stickers are attached to enable timely delivery of goods to the customer.
- Supervising the documentation of all damages, short and over shipments, MDNs preparations and reporting of the same to the Client Services Representative for further action.
- Carrying out regular stock checks, cycle counts and location checks to achieve stock integrity and preparing necessary reports on variances. Carrying out timely and accurate reconciliations for effective resolution of stock discrepancies.
- Implementing QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) and Security policies and procedures in the distribution centre and ensuring that good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times, taking quick corrective action when required.
- Inspection of incoming materials, in-process and final inspection, calibration control and participation in Food Safety Team.
- Supervising, training, setting objectives for staff, appraising and supporting subordinates to display high levels of individual and team performance to achieve company objectives.
- Managing staff discipline with regard to absenteeism and wearing of uniforms, safety shoes etc.
- Elevating potential problems and opportunities for improvement to Supervisor
- Performing any other related duties/projects assigned by Supervisor from time to time to meet business exigencies.
