Job Responsibilities :
- Carrying out inspection as per inspection and test plan.
- Carrying out Inspection as per responsibility and Inspection & Test Plans, Procedures, specifications and Issue/certify reports within specified time
- Carrying out testing within specified time and report the results. (Where applicable)
- Study of Drawing & Specification applicable to job
- Clear Knowledge of drawings and specification of the job being inspected
- Carrying out technical surveillance/audit and timely prepare report
- Review of ITPs, Procedures, formats submitted by Contractors/Vendors
- Complete review of ITPs, procedures, formats submitted by Contractors/Vendors within specified time.
- Skill Encasement
- Attendance to Seminars / Training organized
- Identified training modules successfully completed as planned.
Education Requirement :
- Graduate/Diploma Engineer in relevant discipline
Experience Requirement :
Necessary:
- Minimum 7-12 years for graduate and 14-19 years for Diploma in discipline specific QA/QC functions in EPC activities of Refinery, Petrochemical, Infrastructure projects etc.
Desirable:
- NDT, Level #II in RT, UT, PT, MT & VT. (Mech.)
Skills & Competencies :
- Application of statistical techniques
- Code & Standard interpretation
- System of related job to be audited e.g. ITP, Quality Plan, Work Procedures, and Specifications etc.
- Knowledge of quality planning and implementation of process controls by Quality Control Procedures (QCPs)
- Preparation of Presentation & Training Booklets / Document & Report writing
- Field quality control, inspection and testing
- Organizing and conducting technical audits.
- Knowledge of SAP Modules
- For Construction Quality Engineer – Mechanical:
- Knowledge of codes and standards for welding Materials and Metallurgy including heat treatment
- Knowledge of fabrication codes and standards covering Inspection, Welding technology, PWHT, etc.
- Welding process qualification, different types of welding, problems and their effective solutions
- Knowledge of advantages and limitations of various welding and NDT processes
- Reviewing fabrication drawings to minimize welding NDT and PWHT problems
- Knowledge of ITP and dossier booklets and record compilation
- For Construction Quality Engineer – Civil:
- Knowledge of all Civil construction, fire proofing, insulation, refractory
- Batching plant operation activities
- Civil materials, their properties and testing
- Concrete Mix Design
- Knowledge of the specification and code requirement for various jobs.
- Knowledge on all types of civil material testing
- Earthworks & Bituminous work
