Your Role
As a Level 1 Helpdesk Supporter, you will be a key member of the IT Infrastructure team, providing first-line IT support to internal stakeholders. You will be the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests, ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations. In your role, you will provide effective troubleshooting across all stakeholder levels while providing excellent customer service with a proactive approach.
This role reports to the Head of IT Infrastructure and will be based in Zurich.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests via ticketing system, phone, or in person
- Provide Level 1 troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 support as needed
- Set up and configure Windows and macOS devices for new employees
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and password resets within Active Directory and M365
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes (device setup, access management)
- Maintain IT asset inventory and update documentation
- Provide basic support for Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
- Support Windows domain environments (user authentication, group policies, network drives)
Your Experience & Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in an IT support role (helpdesk, desktop support, IT technician, etc.) within a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) or equivalent experience
- Strong experience with Windows 10/11 and macOS environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and Windows domain environments.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
- Experience with Proxmox, virtualisation, or PowerShell scripting would be a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with within the department and the business
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, German skills would be a plus.
