The candidate for this position will be successful if they are able to execute a variety of secretarial duties of a confidential nature. These tasks will include working with attorneys, paralegals and other members of the firm with a series of administrative functions. Therefore, the candidate will have to have effective time managements and organizational skills coupled with the ability to be detail oriented.

We are VERY focused on teamwork, helping one another within the office to ensure tasks are completed within a timely manner. Being a team player is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones, taking notes/messages and redirecting calls when appropriate
  • Preserve an updated case record system (i.e., in-house filings)
  • Sending out for and procuring medical records & billings
  • Providing administrative support to one or more attorneys
  • Transcribing dictation
  • Maintain calendar & meeting schedules
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiar with and self-starter, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to work with others and take direction
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient typist
  • Comfortable working with a diverse pool of people (co-workers and clients)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour starting, depending upon experience
