Behavioral Health Assessor

The Behavioral Health Assessor position is responsible for meeting with clients (children, adolescents and adults) in person or via telehealth to conduct assessments for behavioral health and mental health concerns. Traditionally, services are provided in person, in the clients’ homes, however telehealth options are available for greater access of services for clients.

Assessor will complete behavioral health and other functional assessments, to assess clients’ psychosocial functioning, barriers to treatment success, and determine level of care. Assessor (LPC, LCSW, APRN) will complete diagnostic evaluation to verify diagnosis in an effort to ensure that behavioral health services are provided that will appropriately alleviate the symptoms associated with the given diagnosis.

The best candidate for this position will have experience in core mental health services in Georgia. Candidates who do not have experience in core mental health services in Georgia will not be considered.

Candidates should have knowledge of mental health diagnosis.

Candidates must demonstrate ability to make connections with other providers such as pediatrician offices, school employees, psychologists, psychiatrists and others to ensure that clients have access to additional services and that all health services are being integrated.

Candidates must have knowledge or BIRP note writing style and must show high proficiency with writing BIRP notes which includes quality and timeliness of BIRP note submissions.

Candidates must demonstrate ability to follow stated treatment goals, objectives, and interventions

Candidates must demonstrate ability to create and update treatment plan goals, objectives and interventions for the person served

Duties to include:

• Provide Behavioral Health Assessments for children, adolescents, and adults
• Develop treatment plan goals, objectives and interventions to guide clinical team service provision
• Have client/guardian complete intake consent forms

Requirements:

For licensed professionals, candidate must be licensed in the state of Georgia Counselor must be capable of providing therapy to youths and adults.

Must have the ability to find community linkages and connect clients with other needed community services

Must be able to provide 3 references.

Must have or qualify to obtain CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications

Must have dependable transportation for travel to downtown and greater Atlanta area.

Job Related: The ability and knowledge to work with “high risk” individuals at times. Must be able to utilize great communication and analytical skills. Must have advanced knowledge of therapy application and mental health Also want a Therapist to present on behalf of CYE for schools and other community orgnaizations field Must be able to submit all paperwork in timely manner. High level writing ability and note documentation skills.
