As Director Leadership in Operations, you will lead analysis of business needs and development and implementation of adequate policies, programs, and IT systems for training and development related to leadership in operations. The role reports directly to the global Vice President of Talent Management and indirectly to operations leadership. The role is a hybrid/remote position with significant travel. European time zone is advantageous due to global scope.
Your Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To
- Learning Needs Analysis Engage with Plant and Operations management to clarify organizational requirements, to set priorities for learning and development (L&D) interventions, and to define required learning outcomes for leadership within the Autoliv plants; specify and manage the collection and analysis of data to inform learning needs analysis.
- Learning and Development (L&D) Program Design Design and develop learning and development (L&D) programs to meet individual and organizational learning needs within our plants, within specified timescales and resources; identify and incorporate appropriate L&D methodologies and delivery channels; develop relevant content and high-quality learning resources to create high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Information and Business Advice Provide authoritative specialist advice to plant management or regional level to enable the enhancement of leadership in operations.
- Functional Strategy Formation Lead the development and implementation of strategy for leadership in operations globally, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy.
- Organizational Capability Building Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs to have a competitive advantage through our leadership in operations. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their personal potential. Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods.
In order to deliver the mention above we are looking for the following:
- Master’s Degree or Equivalent level of education
- Engineering, Operations Management, or I/O Psychology preferred
- Strong skills in:
- provide executive advisory,
- training program design, LMS, e-learning and computer-based training
- learning and talent development in all organizational level to fulfill the short- and long-term ambition of the organization (Subject Matter Expert)
- And, possesses a deep understanding of the production process and lean manufacturing
