M? te t?ranga mahi | About the role
As one of four Head of People & Culture roles, you’ll play a vital role in the leadership of a People and Culture Group designed to ensure ACC can continue to become a vibrant, talented, diverse organisation that makes an impact. You’ll also be a member of ACC’s enterprise leader cohort and will be working with your fellow senior leaders to ensure that ACC is delivering great results for our clients and levy payers.
You’ll lead a team of talented and dedicated professionals to unlock the potential of our workforce and understand and elevate the experiences our kaimahi have of working at ACC. Your team will include:
- Strategic Business Partners who work directly with the senior leadership teams of other groups in ACC.
- Principal Advisors who lead key strategic initiatives connected to the future of our workforce.
- An organisational design team who help ensure ACC has the right structure and capabilities..
- Learning design and delivery teams focused on giving our customer-facing kamahi the knowledge they need to deliver great service for the people ACC is here to serve.
You’ll have the skills, knowledge and judgement needed to lead the future of work portfolio but also have a broad base of expertise as an HR professional and senior leader that will allow you to step across to lead other portfolios, should this be required.
While this role is focused on the human dimensions of the future of work, you’ll also have an eye on future technology trends and the implications for our future workforce. You’ll talk the talk and walk the walk – Leading by example by prioritising the health, safety and wellbeing of your team, pursuing opportunities to accelerate that intent of our enterprise strategy and focus on improving lives every day.

To be considered for this role, we are looking for exceptional HR leaders with:
- Deep HR experience that demonstrates the ability to identify and integrate effective and efficient ways of operating.
- Experience leading organisational design and learning functions in large, complex organisations.
- Experience and credibility in delivering pragmatic solutions for enterprise-wide challenges.
- A breadth of HR capability where you demonstrate complex problem resolution.
- Experience in a range of settings from private and public sector.
Key accountabilities and outcomes include:
- Bring an integrated, enterprise approach to your portfolio to deliver the required capabilities, services, and results in a cohesive way.
- Collaborate across ACC to identify and proactively prepare for future workforce needs based on strategic priorities.
- Contribute to the realisation of ACC’s People Strategy and ensure effective management of scope and concentration of resource.
- Use insights and intelligence to identify opportunities for capability uplift, development of solutions for customers, and to support continuous improvement.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to increase value generation, customer satisfaction and people experience.

The appointing salary range for this role is $189,346 – $222,760 with appointment dependent on skills, experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% superannuation.
