Job Description
The overall objective of the project is to improve agriculture sector performance in line with the EU – Republic of Moldova Association Agreement, the EU Integration process, and international agreements.
The project is seeking an organised, motivated Assistant to the Resident Twinning Adviser (RTA Assistant), whose activities include assisting the RTA with co-ordination and management of the Twinning project. The project will start on the 1-st of February 2025 with the duration of 24 months.
The RTA Assistant will be hired full time on a service contract and stationed in Chisinau. The RTA Assistant shall not have been in any contractual relation with the public sector in the Moldovan Republic, during at least the 6 months preceding their hiring.
The Tasks Of The RTA Assistant Include
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Resident Twinning Adviser (RTA), including scheduling, document preparation, and meeting coordination.
- Assisting with the organization and execution of twinning-related events, workshops, and training activities.
- Communicating effectively with partners and stakeholders involved in the twinning process.
- Monitoring the progress of ongoing twinning initiatives, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
- Assisting in maintaining records, tracking key project data, and preparing regular reports for stakeholders.
- Supporting the management of the project’s budget and assisting with processing financial documentation.
- Helping managing communication, including drafting content for newsletters and social media.
- Acting as translator/interpreter and editing written texts, if needed.
- Providing general support on a variety of ad hoc tasks as needed by the RTA.
The RTA Assistant will be recruited in accordance with the following selection criteria:
Required Skills And Experience
- University Degree in social sciences or any other discipline relevant for the position;
- Fluency in spoken and written in Romanian with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Russian is required;
- Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to details, with the ability to work efficiently in all mentioned languages.
- Proven experience in office management and project administration;
- Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.).
- A high degree of independence, strong own initiative and flexibility, discretion and professionalism;
- Strong intercultural and social competences;
- Practical experience in day-to-day provision of translation and interpretation support to international advisors and experts is desirable;
- Experience in international donor projects is a strong advantage (e.g. EU projects).
