Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse – Acute Care – Night Shift Job Specialty: Registered / Licensed Nurse – Inpatient Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift (6:45 pm – 7:15 am) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN – Multi-state Compact Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: – Ability to read, write, and speak the English language – Basic computer skills with the ability to optimize technology in clinical care – Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills – Customer service skills – Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively and respectfully – Excellent time management skills – Evidence-based and analytical skills – Strong critical thinking skills Job Description: – Perform the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation in clinical care using evidence-based practice. – Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that adapts to cultural diversity and specific population characteristics. – Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate methods for setting and purpose, focusing on patients’ goals in the care plan. – Practice according to current clinical standards. – Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care through diverse interdisciplinary communication methods. – Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and promote healthcare team recruitment and retention. – Support performance improvement activities and engage in shared governance at all system levels. – Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required education. – Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified future workforce and create a healthy work environment. – Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement. – Uphold all healthcare system policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. – Participate in data collection and consult experts and resources for evidence-based practice questions. – Plan proactively for patients’ care across the continuum. – Support protocol and procedure development with care managers and healthcare team members. – Ensure efficient use of resources. – Perform other duties as assigned and comply with system policies and conduct standards.
