We are looking for a bright intelligent committed nurse, to assist in the running of our Nursing Services full time. The role of Staff Nurse will be to be a clinical nurse working with and in our Radiology nursing team to ensure the patients have good and timely care. The area is busy with a variety of interventions on a daily basis.
We have a number of procedures which we assist the doctors within our rooms. The focus of this role is to work clinically with the team and to ensure the day to day running of the workload is done well, and the patients attending are admitted cared for and discharged in a supportive environment.
You will work across CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and Breast Imaging and the nature of your work will be varied. You will also have an advocate/chaperone role on behalf of both the patient and staff during intimate or invasive procedures. Candidates should have a flexible approach to changing patterns of work.
Applicants should have good keyboard skills and preferably experience in using basic computer packages, including hospital systems, + Deliver a high standard of nursing care contributing to the ongoing assessment, providing and monitoring care based on evidence and working in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Assist Radiologists, Sonographers and radiographers in a wide range of interventions across Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine, CT and Breast.
- Communicate effectively with dignity and respect to all patients, relatives and others giving consideration to potential barriers to understanding.
- Contribute to a culture where all staff feel safe to raise their concerns.
- Comply with mandatory competencies in line with Trust policy.
- Maintain own continuing professional development in accordance with NMC CPD requirements and contribute to formulation of own objectives and personal development plan.
- Support, supervise, teach (where appropriate) and act as a role model to trainee nursing associates, student nurses, healthcare support workers and new staff members, promoting reflection and providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the learning environment.
